Do not cosplay a character just because someone else is doing a cosplay from the same series. 
Cosplay a character because you love the character enough that you want to do it for you and would cosplay the character regardless of who is or isn’t cosplaying with you.

Cosplay is much too expensive, time consuming, and hard enough to rely on someone else. If they cosplay with you from the same thing and keep with it in the end, thats great! Don’t get me wrong, group cosplays are magical, but don’t do it just cause of someone else.
